ANU School of Art Graduating Exhibition

I have often seen the ANU School of Art as the beating heart of the arts community here in Canberra, drawing in new talent and pumping out fresh artistic life back into the community. Alumni circulate, grow and often return as graduate students, teachers, or visiting artists to reinvigorate the vital learning hub that is the School that we know and love.

First let me say congratulations to all the students who graduated this year and for the fabulous show you all put on last Friday, the Graduating Exhibition is truly a testament to the vitality of this beating heart. Each year we see the local arts community coming together to support the new graduates as patrons, friends, and family, and the bustling 2015 exhibition was no exception. The generous EASS awards included cash prizes, subscriptions, residencies and exhibitions. Taking out an impressive six of these awards was Sculpture graduate Sian Watson with her giant, quirky horses. Click here for a full list of 2015 award winners.
